The Position We are seeking an experienced and driven Nurse Unit Manager – Perioperative to lead and coordinate the clinical practice, patient experience and business performance of the Perioperative Services.
This position ensures exceptional evidence-based patient care is delivered through the management of human, financial, patient safety and material resources in accordance with professional standards, organisational goals, mission and values.
This position is being offered on a permanent full-time basis.
Day to day duties for this role will include (but not be limited to): Provide effective clinical leadership and direction required to ensure the delivery of high level clinical performance of the Perioperative Services Department Coordinate activities on a day-to-day basis to ensure optimal list flow, workforce rostering and assignment Monitor and evaluate equipment needs, use and maintenance with specialist groups and coordinate tendering and procurement processes in preparedness for executive review and approval.
Promote the safe and effective delivery of services through the monitoring of clinical practice Provide clinical expertise when required to ensure the delivery of safe and quality patient care Promote and maintain co-operation and effective communication with all internal and external service providers The Person Strong emphasis will be placed on the applicant's ability to demonstrate the organisations values of Courage, Diligence, Compassion, Wisdom and Friendliness, as well as their ability to commit to and apply these values in the workplace.
