About the opportunity
You will be providing timely, comprehensive and multidisciplinary expert Rehabilitation and Palliative Care with likeminded colleagues to geographically isolated communities throughout Western NSW.
You will be providing onsite care to patients at the Lourdes Hospital, a part of the Dubbo Health Service for Western NSW Local Health District.
Dubbo is a major regional city with a population of around 40,000 people, situated on the beautiful Macquarie River, 420 kilometres north-west of Sydney. Where you'll be working
5. Unconditional General and/or Specialist Registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
6. Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and/or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and/or Vocational Recognition as a General Practitioner.
7. Minimum three (3) years post graduate clinical experience. Previous experience in Emergency Medicine, General Practice, Adult Internal Medicine, Paediatrics or Rural Medicine an advantage.
8. Sound knowledge of and commitment to clinical quality and patient safety, work health and safety, working within NSW Health Policy and current clinical practice guidelines.
9. Knowledge of contemporary clinical management and modern approaches in assessment and management of the broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Competence in performing the range of minor urgent procedures commonly undertaken in a rural emergency department including Advanced Life Support and Trauma management.
10. Demonstrated commitment to behaviour which align to the NSW Health CORE values and WNSWLHD Values, goals and strategies.
11. Demonstrated experience in Rehabilitation Medicine and Palliative Care.
12. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
