Our fleet plays an essential role in getting us there, by enabling us to collect, carry and dispose of a range of waste and recyclable material. Our Mechanics are crucial for keeping our trucks, trailers and other mobile equipment safe, maintained and operational. Because of this, as a Mechanic you will be a fundamental part of the business.Reasons you'll stayThe Team: Being a Mechanic is often a solitary pursuit, but whilst you'll need to work independently, what makes this job special is the team. Tight deadline? Unexpected workload spike? Our fully owned fleet of vehicles have a range of engineering equipment across our engines and trailers. No two days will be the same, as you'll get stuck into a wide range of hydraulics, electrical to mechanical systems.Who you areYou'll be a natural problem solver, with the ability to diagnose and find solutions to a range of mechanical problems.You're a qualified Heavy Vehicle, Mobile Plant, Light Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic, or Auto-Electrician with experience in a range of facets of preventative maintenance and repair of vehicles including trucks and trailers.Strong understanding of safety.You're a team player, willing to pitch in, support and help when required.You'll be willing to attend to breakdowns after hours, on a rostered basis (overtime is paid for this).Who we areAt REMONDIS Australia, we're in a neat spot.
