Join us!Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a Vice President, Payment Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for support of cloud (AWS, Azure) deployed applications related to Payment industry, which:Receive card transactions from POS Terminals, Hosted Payment Pages, and forwarding them to Payment Processors.Onboard merchants to transaction processing applications, platforms.You can look forward to:Supporting Gateway applications that process card transactions for Visa, MC, AMEX, DISC.Analyzing transaction failures and making recommendations to improve application reliability and quality, support processes, practices, and procedures.Making strong technical decisions and completing tasks & assignments under limited supervision.Recognizing problems that need further investigations, seeking assistance when needed, and demonstrating initiative and self-motivation.Ensuring documentation of production incidents and collaborating with different support and development teams to resolve issues.Assisting the team in devising new support processes and ensuring their implementation as per company policy.Required ExperienceQualifications for Consideration:Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Solid understanding of the SDLC, ITIL processes, change management, release management and configuration management.Knowledge of Payment industry, Cards, ATM & POS Terminal and transaction processing protocols i.e. ISO 8583, fixed length message formats, etc.Knowledge of information systems elements (hardware, software, network) and their application to business functions/processes.Knowledge of database concepts and MS Office.Good communication and vendor management skills.Preferred Skills, Experience, and Domain Knowledge:Server Administration experience would be a plus to complement the card industry experience.Administration of tools relative to Payment industry, Cards, ATM & POS Terminal and transaction processing protocols i.e. ISO 8583, fixed length message formats etc.Experience with UL, Pargon and Astrex simulators, or other payment transaction simulators.Python, Shell scripting, Putty, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL.Domain Knowledge:2-5 years of experience supporting payment gateway or acquiring systems.
