We now have an exciting opportunity for a Pi/OT Engineer to join our team in Thomastown VIC, Eagle Farm QLD or Kidman Park SA, on a fixed term contract for 2 years.
Reporting to the Manager - Operations Support and Commissioning, this role is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the APA's electrical, instrumentation, and control systems and ensure these systems are safe, efficient, and compliant with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities Design and develop electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for various projects Conduct system analyses and inspections to ensure optimal performance and safety Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to execute engineering plans Monitor the execution of engineering projects and adjust plans as necessary Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during engineering activities Keep up-to-date with changes in electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering standards and best practices, including technical Regulators ESV, ESCOSA, OTR, DNRM DIRE, AER.
Your background Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology, or equivalent relevant experience Sound understanding of Geo Scada and recent, and relevant SCADA and PI Historian experience Understanding the architecture of connected systems and Management of Change within the OT environment Able to use advanced administrative tools' functions in PI historian and configure templates (e.g.
Event Frames, Library) correctly and adhere to the PI Asset Framework Standard Knowledge to analyse a process on-the-fly using PI Vision Calculations and utilise the Events Table to create and analyse event frames in PI Vision Ability to effectively communicate across all levels within the organisation regarding complex technical and commercial issues About the Team Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.
This is an exciting time for the Networks team, we are growing and expanding with many new projects, including 2032 Olympics.
Also, we have a strong culture of continuous improvement and working towards Net Zero with the introduction of renewable green gas into the Gas Networks.
