Finance and Payroll Officer
WHO WE ARE:
Gippsland PHN is a not for profit charity that works at a regional level to achieve improved whole of system health care. Our vision is for a Measurably Healthier Gippsland. We work closely with the primary health care system, identifying opportunities to improve health outcomes in Gippsland communities. We do this through health system improvement programs, and by commissioning services to address local health needs via our regional commissioning role.

* Build and support local capability in primary health care professionals;
* Enable transparent communication and information exchange across the primary health care sector;
* Improve access in primary health services particularly for those at risk of poor health outcomes, and where gaps exist in hard to reach locations.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Do you have experience in the provision of financial support services, with a high level of attention to detail, and an ability to provide professional customer service?
This position provides quality, consistent and timely financial support to the Manager Finance, and the Corporate Services Team. This role requires a high level of performance in office related financial functions, and clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
A key function of this role is to ensure the organisational purchase order process is correctly followed from commencement to completion. In addition, reporting all aspects of the purchase order function to management including all variations and any errors. This role also includes the full payroll function.
We are looking for an astute, agile, dynamic, and outcomes-focused team member. Use your skills to complete work packages including but not limited to:
* Providing general financial support to the Manager Finance, maintaining the organisational purchase order process, assisting with authorising payments, raising purchase orders for credit card charges, and liaising with vendors;
* Providing the accounts payable function with a shared monitoring of the accounts e-mails. Undertaking finance related tasks, including basic analysis of accounts, preparation and distribution of reports;
* Providing the accounts receivable function including invoicing and receipting of payments;
* Providing the payroll processes. Assisting in maintaining organisation records and registers, including electronic filing; remitting superannuation monthly;
* Monthly reconciliation and top-up of corporate debit cards;
* Providing leave relief for the Assistant Accountant when required.
