The reason for this role: The Precontracts Manager is accountable to the Head of Strategic Procurement & Precontracts for the preparation of contractual and commercial outcomes which support the development, delivery, and operations of Goldwind Australia's (GWA) renewable energy projects. This includes the preparation of contractual documents for the development of tenders, CAPEX and OPEX estimates, programs, and for the negotiation and establishment of contracts for GWA projects.What you will be doing? Manage GWA's process for preparing project budgets and programs.Manage the review, negotiation, documentation, and execution of project contracts with customers and suppliers. (i.e., client contracts for the supply of turbines, turkey windfarms, maintenance agreements, contracts for Balance of Plant, transport, logistics, WTG install).Ensure that GWA's commercial risk is managed in upstream and downstream contracts (i.e., maintain back-to-back protection).Manage relationships with key internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and service providers.Manage staff, contractors and service providers involved in the bid process.Manage the bid process to customers.Manage and guide staff involved in the management and implementation of contractual and commercial obligations and objectives.Manage internal approvals processes related to execution of major contracts.Provide contract, commercial and project management support to the Sales, Acquisitions & Development, Program Delivery and Service teams as required.What does your background look like? Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Law, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.Wind industry, Power industry or Construction Industry experience.Strong experience with negotiation of EPC Contracts, Construction contracts, Frame Agreements and Consultancy Services Agreements.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Negotiation skills and ability to relate to diverse stakeholder groups.Understanding of contracts, schedules, documentation management, financial administration.Good knowledge of Project Office systems.Ability to work effectively in an International/China cross cultural environment.Occasional travel – regional, interstate, and international.Desired: Knowledge of Mandarin.
