The Industry Solutions Engineering (ISE) team is a global engineering organization that works directly with customers looking to leverage the latest technologies to address their toughest challenges. We are hiring a Principal AI Engineer with significant experience and expertise designing and delivering solutions using modern software engineering practices, cloud technologies, Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs). Qualifications Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs) Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, Java Script, or Python OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, Java Script, or Python OR equivalent experience. 3+ years of cloud-based AI technical solutions development and operationalization including, but not limited to, Azure Cognitive Services; AI Voice Assistants; AI Chatbots; AI Image Recognition and Computer Vision; AI Natural Language Processing; AI Recommendation Systems; AI Sentiment Analysis; AI Virtual Reality; AI Autonomous Systems; AI Healthcare Applications; or AI Data Analytics and Predictive Modeling. Enjoy travel and are comfortable with travel up to 25%. Responsibilities Partner with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of scenarios. Lead identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform. Lead by example and mentor others to produce extensible and maintainable code used across products. Leverage subject-matter expertise of cross-product features with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project managers) to drive multiple group's project plans, release plans, and work items. Hold accountability as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), mentoring engineers across products/solutions, working on-call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions. Proactively seek new knowledge and adapt to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale. Work hands-on with our most strategic customers from design through implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications, setting examples for good engineering and software development practices along the way.
