BMA Account Manager – Mackay, QLD
YOUR OPPORTUNITY
An excellent opportunity has become available for a self-driven, passionate and results-focused Account Manager to join our high performing sales team based in Mackay, QLD!
Reporting to the NSAM- BHP, you will deliver exceptional customer value and solutions to our new and existing accounts within the Mackay area, through the supply and sales of our Industrial and Safety products.
Day-to-day, you will work closely with our dedicated Customer Care team, quotes team, wider BHP Sales team and be on-the-road visiting customers and exceeding company targets, as well as implementing strategic plans to increase sales and customer satisfaction levels!
Your Key Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To
1. Maintaining, developing and growing key relationships within your dedicated portfolio
2. Developing opportunities for growth through strategic planning and fact-based analysis
3. Achieving sales and trading margin contribution targets through product optimisations
4. Maintaining an effective territory call plan for existing and identified customers
5. Working collaboratively and strategically with the local Carole Park branch team members
6. Regular market/competitor analysis and reporting on trends and sales activities
7. Planning and implementing strategies based on anticipated customer needs
To Be Successful, You Will Have
1. Minimum 3 years’ B2B Account Management and/or Business Development experience (preferably in Manufacturing, Mining, Heavy Equipment or similar industrial sectors)
2. Exceptional relationship management skills along with strong local existing relationships
3. Desire to be face-to-face with customers, and passionate about delivering effective solutions
4. Proactive and driven to not only meet but exceed customer expectations
5. Strong problem-solving capabilities and able to work autonomously whilst collaborating across different teams
6. Previous exposure to industrial, safety and apparel products is advantageous
7. Team player mentality, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
8. MS Office proficiency and previous CRM experience
