Mansfield District Hospital (MDH) is located in Victoria’s scenic high country, at the foot of Mount Buller and on the shores of Lake Eildon, only two hours from Melbourne.
At Mansfield District Hospital, we provide care for all life stages and critical health needs. This includes acute hospital care, urgent care, operating theatre, obstetrics with a midwifery group practice model, aged care, regional district nursing service for in-home care and our allied health services.
The role of the Workplace Trainer/ Careers Advisor is to provide essential training and assessment activities for non-clinical staff at Mansfield District Hospital.
This includes;
• designing and developing training programs, and courses to meet employee needs;
• planning, organising and delivering group and individual based learning;
• facilitating learning in the workplace; and
• creating, implementing and managing assessment activities and processes.
The role will also support non-clinical staff in relation to possible career pathways, and areas of potential future training and employment. This role is required to assist staff to undertake training packages across Certificate II to a Diploma level in classifications covered by the Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers Agreement. There will be particular emphasis for training to be given to certain types of individuals, including those:
• without computer skills;
• who have not completed secondary school education; and,
• whose English may be a second language.
