This is for a Fixed Term Full Time appointment at 80 hours per fortnight. An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse, to join the team at Wyndham Hospital. Position Profile: The Clinical Nurse (Practice Nurse) is responsible for providing a high level of Primary Health Care to achieve the optimum state of health for individuals, families, and communities. The practice nurse contributes to primary health care that is holistic, works in interdisciplinary service delivery models, and provides health care with a high level of cross-cultural capability.
Area Profile: WACHS Kimberley is the most northern health region of WACHS. The Kimberley region has approximately 200 Aboriginal communities, over 34 different Aboriginal language groups, and 45 percent of the population are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. WACHS Kimberley consists of six hospitals, an inpatient mental health unit, three Community Directorates, and a Corporate Office. WACHS Kimberley provides hospital, community health, public health, remote area health, community aged care, and mental health services across the region through a dedicated team of medical, nursing, Aboriginal health, allied health, and support staff.
