ABOUT THE POSITION.As a Development Engineer in an initial 6 month contract, you will be responsible for providing sound technical knowledge of civil infrastructure design and construction standards, as well as providing a working knowledge of land use planning policy and guidelines, with strong communication and negotiation skills. DUTIES. Engineering assessment of Development Applications Identify, resolve and ensure standard and specific conditions address technical issues Assist in appeals in the Land and Environment Court Liaise with internal and external Stakeholders including Developers SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE. Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualifications Prior experience as a Development Engineer in Local Government, is highly desirable Proven ability to assess stormwater management systems Proficient in softwares including AutoCAD, DRAINS, HEC-RAS and TUFLOW CULTURE.Enjoy being part of a fast paced, collaborative and supportive team environment whilst working autonomously.
