About the roleThis is a permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm position working 35 hours per week.
This position is located at the Shoalhaven Memorial Gardens, Worrigee.DutiesReporting directly to the Bereavement Administration Coordinator, the focus of this position is to:In accordance with the organisational values and cemetery licensing requirements, provide a high level of Customer Service by:Liaising with Funeral Directors and families, ensuring understanding of service requirementsDownloading, verification, and programming of music and audio-visual displaysAdherence to customer requirements for funeral service deliveryPreparation of chapel for serviceEnsuring web services (live streaming) are scheduled and functioningEnsuring accurate records are completedLiaising with Cemetery Attendant for burial or cremation at the conclusion of serviceCoordination of the various services offered to customers, taking payments, and appointment bookingsProviding professional guidance and assistance in the selection of memorial and burial site provisionFollowing up documentation and details with stakeholders and families, ensuring accurate completion in accordance with legislation prior to service provisionDealing with general enquiriesManaging and escalating customer complaints with empathy and resilience where requiredSkills & ExperienceTo be successful in the position, you will be/possess:Certificate IV in Office Administration and/or equivalent skills and experienceClass C Driver's LicenceCurrent NSW WorkCover accredited First Aid CertificateProof of Australian residency or citizenshipAbout Shoalhaven City CouncilShoalhaven City Council is a dynamic organisation serving a large and diverse community; limitless opportunity exists for an exciting and rewarding career.
