About The Role
Are you ready to take your career in administration to the next level? BDO in Cairns has a rare and exciting opportunity for an administrative professional to join our Business Services Support team, providing effective and efficient administrative support to our Business Services Partners.

Key Responsibilities
1. Client Onboarding: Seamlessly integrate new clients into our systems
2. Draft Correspondence: Prepare and manage client communications
3. Client Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for our clients
4. Record Management: Handle photocopying, scanning, filing, and binding with precision
5. Document Preparation: Collate and prepare essential financial documents
6. Data Entry: Ensure accuracy and care in all typing and data entry tasks
7. Liaison with Key Bodies: Communicate with the ATO, ABR, and ASIC
8. Lodgement Monitoring: Track and lodge returns and forms within specified timeframes
9. Business Name Management: Oversee the application, registration, and maintenance of business names, transfers and cancellations
10. Reception Relief: Provide ad-hoc support as required
11. Team Induction: Welcome and induct new members to the Business Services team(s)
What You Will Bring To Our Team
This is an exciting career opportunity for a positive, proactive and motivated professional with experience in a similar role. As a dedicated team player, you will bring the following qualities to our team:
1. Experience: 2+ years in an administrative role
2. Education: Certificate III in Business Administration or currently studying (we welcome diverse qualifications and fields of experience)
3. Proactive Learner: A self-starter with a hunger to learn and grow. We want you to ask questions, to clarify information and be proactive in your learning and advancement at BDO
4. Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
5. Professional Presentation: A friendly and approachable attitude
6. Tech-Savvy: Strong IT and computer skills, with the ability to adapt to new technology quickly
7. Problem Solver: A proactive approach to problem-solving and task management
8. Professionalism: Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
9. Administrative Knowledge: Understanding of traditional administrative tasks, procedures, and systems
10. Business and Accounting Terminology: Familiarity with business and basic accounting terminology (desirable)
11. MYOB Experience: Experience with MYOB Accounts Enterprise (desirable)
