Salary Package: $121,393 plus super - Housing NegotiableCome for a career and stay for a lifestyle!The City of Karratha is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team.About the RoleThe Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for undertaking day to day workshop activities as directed, including servicing, repair and maintenance of all City plant & equipment comprising small plant, light vehicles, heavy truck and earthmoving equipment.Key Responsibilities:Undertake day to day workshop operationsThe position requires manual handling of items between 16 and 55kg, bending, stretching to work on machinery, and working on truck platforms, steps, ladders, and in restricted areas.Monitor, repair, and service Council plant and equipment, collaborate with contractors for specialized work, test run equipment after repairs, report defects to the Plant Supervisor, complete Job Cards, and attend seminars to enhance skills and knowledge.Ensuring personal and other’s safety, complying with City health and safety policies.Why Join Us?At the City of Karratha, we pride ourselves on fostering a positive and dynamic work environment where your contributions make a real impact.
