Responsibilities
:
1. Design and implement data pipelines to extract, transform, and load financial data from various sources.
2. Develop and maintain databases.
3. Ensure data quality, integrity and security.
4. Ensure the daily Treasury P&L results of certain treasury front office desks are timely, accurate andplete with necessary performance explanations.
5. Implement data visualisation tools to provide insights and trends to stakeholders
6. Drive best practice P&L reporting and product control via productivity improvements, process efficiency and innovation initiatives.
7. Assist with the production and review of reporting within the Financemunity framework as required,
8. Optimise data processing and querying performance
9. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in financial data engineering
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
10. Experience in data engineering with a focus on financial data (accounting knowledge desirable)
11. Sound programming skills in languages such as SQL(required), Python (Strong preference), VBA, R, C++ and being able to apply their knowledge to drive process efficiency and innovation.
12. Ability to form sound working relationships and influence people
13. Knowledge of financial markets, instruments and regulations
14. Ability to identify current and potential issues in database configurations, workflows, automation scrips and to devise & implement appropriate process improvements in response
15. Ability to analyse & solveplex problems involving transactions spanning multiple Business Units
16. Industry experience and understanding of Treasury operations
17. Experience with database query tools (particularly SQL), excel and product systems such as WALLSTREET, Murex
