About the Role Reporting to the Supervisor of the Fixed Plant team, your role will be primarily based underground liaising closely with surface and underground mine personnel. You will be involved in executing planned and unplanned maintenance tasks, as well as helping to ensure any plant downtime issues are escalated and actioned effectively.In this role you will:Promote and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every dayAssist with any planned maintenance and complete tasks in a timely mannerProvide mechanical trade skills to perform unplanned or breakdown maintenance on Fixed PlantWork with your team to a high level of accountability and be able to build productive team relationshipsProvide Feedback to the Shift Maintenance Supervisors on job progress About You Willingness and capacity to work underground for long shiftsProven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm's wayMechanical trade qualifications and experience with Fixed PlantUnderground mining experience highly regardedRigger, Dogger, Crane, FL and Bridge & Gantry tickets also advantageousSolid time management skills and ability to prioritiseA proactive team player who is also self-motivated and able to work effectively unsupervisedAbility to communicate well across multiple levels and disciplinesAPPLICATIONS CLOSE: MIDNIGHT 21 APRIL 2025 About Our Process At BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
