We are hiring a Program Manager This is a unique opportunity for you to join the Reserve Bank’s payments team that owns and operates RITS, Australia's real-time gross settlement system, which moves around $230 billion dollars between financial institutions each day and ultimately settles all non-cash payments in Australia. You will be one of the key leaders within the Payments Operations Program, leading technology related workstreams responsible for delivering improvements to technology controls, application lifecycle management, risk assessments and monitoring and workload management for applications that support RITS. In the Payments Operations Program, you will work with both business and IT departments, including executive staff, which manage RITS to promote the public interest by ensuring the reliable, safe and efficient functioning of critical national infrastructure, which is essential to support the day-to-day business of the Australian economy. We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager who will lead teams in uplifting technology standards, processes and systems related to the RITS ecosystem. These roles will be reporting directly to the Project Director – Technology and will be an influential role driving positive outcomes. This is a 12month max term opportunity. About the role Oversee and direct all project work to ensure outcomes align with sponsor expectations. Apply structured project management methodologies, adhering to internal frameworks and processes. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, estimates, and resource allocations. Identify and manage risks and issues, implementing mitigation plans and measuring their effectiveness. Monitor project progress, identify variances early, and take corrective actions to minimize impact. Organize and manage project teams, assigning responsibilities and tracking progress. Ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle, managing changes and ensuring project completion within agreed parameters. Experience Must have extensive experience in managing technology projects involving the ServiceNow platform. Will have successfully overseen projects with multiple work streams in a complex environment. Needs to demonstrate the ability to develop and present executive-level reports to Executives. Must have a good understanding of technology controls and implementation strategies to uplift a technology eco-system. Should possess a deep understanding of enterprise-level infrastructure services and tooling, with a proven track record of delivering system improvements. Technical Capabilities: Proven experience building team rapport and creating opportunities to facilitate collaboration within the team. Proven ability to build strong, productive and collaborative relationships with business and IT stakeholders working with the project teams. Demonstrated ability to simplify complexities for a complete and accurate analysis Strong networking capability; demonstrated experience building networks of influence to support project outcomes. Ability to influence management and senior stakeholders. Demonstrated experience of capitalising on opportunities that result in improved project value or execution. Proven track record of achieving high performance with a team and promoting continuous learning and advocating professional and personal development. Demonstrated initiative in driving projects forward and ability to make timely decisions based on facts while managing ambiguity.
