Contracts Managers - Property Development | NSW State Government Up to $1500 per day + Super | 40 hours per week NSW State Government | Hybrid – Sydney + WFH February 2025 Start | Estimated 15 month assignment, potential to extend About the Company Our large NSW State Government client is Australia's biggest public transportation infrastructure program, delivering a new world-class transportation system for Sydney. About the Role They are currently seeking 2 x Contracts Managers with property development experience to join their growing team in Sydney with some flexibility to work remotely from home. This is an estimated 15 month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend. Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for the development and management of property transactions and operational improvements to enhance infrastructure outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct end to end senior procurement functions to ensure the delivery of property development activities. Monitor and report on transaction and development costs, revenues and risks for all allocated projects. Develop and execute detailed Contract Management Plans, including establishing KPI's and governance structures, risk identification, mitigation, monitoring variations, performance benefits tracking, outcome reporting and intervening where necessary to achieve the objectives of the contract. Preparation of procurement and tendering documentation. Provide advice on commercial, financial and deal structures. Prepare and assist with complex and sensitive negotiations for contract variations, contract renewals and claims/disputes to deliver better procurement outcomes and mitigating commercial risks. Participate in proposal evaluation meetings, undertake feasibility assessment for proposals and complex transactions. Award contracts and provide feedback on the results. Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships including developers. Act as the interface with stakeholder engagement team with interested and affected parties including ministerial offices, government agencies, councils, lobby groups. Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements. Develop and implement appropriate governance and risk frameworks, performance measures, assessment tools and reporting standards. About You Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written. Professional, resilient and determined. Solid conflict resolution, problem solving and negotiation skills. Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines. High attention to detail. Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite. Requirements Tertiary Qualifications in Procurement, Law, Property or an equivalent field. Minimum 10 years Property Development experience dealing with high value commercial contracts over $100M. Public Sector experience. Thorough understanding and knowledge of the GC21 Contracts. Proven Property Development experience in the initial tendering and contracts stages. Willingness to undergo a National Police Check. Valid Drivers licence and ability to travel throughout NSW. Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment.
