Join us in shaping the future of healthcare in Regional Queensland.Your Opportunity :Provide high level clinical, specialised Mental Health and psychology assessment, counselling and brief intervention to mental health consumers within a multidisciplinary mental health Team.The position is responsible for providing consultancy, education and supportive or therapeutic programs for individuals and specific target groups.The Psychologist-Senior position utilises broad psychological knowledge and clinical skills to independently manage a complex case load including the ability to effectively analyse and make clinical decisions to deliver a range of evidence based therapeutic interventions.What we're looking for :Clinical ExpertiseDemonstrated high level clinical knowledge, psychological assessment and intervention skills including an understanding of best practice methods in brief interventions and an ability to independently deliver clinical services.Demonstrated ability to support a model of service delivery that responds to the triage, assessment, treatment and care of persons with an acute mental illness in an inpatient setting.CommunicationDemonstrated high level oral and written communication skills including the ability to develop positive working relationships with consumers, carers, Queensland Health Stakeholders, other government and non-government organisations, academic staff and students.LeadershipDemonstrated knowledge and skills to contribute to formal research and service development and develop the knowledge base of the service through clinical practice supervision, education and training.Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with others; provide support; share information and credit; consider the views of and involve colleagues in decision making; deal with conflict; maintain effective working relationships with colleagues; mentors, community groups and other agencies and provide clinical supervision and leadership as appropriate.Preferred Qualifications :Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as a Psychologist and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association.
