The Customer Success Insights Group is responsible for end-to-end analytics and insights on customers and channels. You will be part of a growing Analytics Community at Optus and can work on impactful business projects.
Data steward improves data governance for Customer Success including quality, security and privacy and steward the data “owned” by Optus. They make recommendations to data owners and work closely with the people making, changing, processing and reporting data. They care about the data, and what it means, and how it is used. They ensure data is documented so others can find, understand and use it quicker and more cost effectively.
The day to day
* Implementing common data standards, common data definitions, and common data quality requirements where the data owner determines there is value in doing so.
* Influencing others across the business to ensure that data governance practices are included in system upgrades, enhancements or changes
* Program management and Influencing agile tribe prioritisation processes to ensure continuous improvement in data governance compliance, data quality and control uplifts
* Scoping Initiatives for data governance and quality, work required by the business teams, tribes and squads and articulating the requirements and the benefits for both the customer and the business
* Measuring the effectiveness of changes made in the business so management clearly understands
* Tracing lineage of the data, identifying root causes of data issues and setting up remediation plans across teams
* Ensuring the right data is in the right place in the right format, at the right time, driving benefits, business value and risk mitigation.
* Assessments of data quality and improvements after the initiatives
What we're looking for
* Extensive experience in data, including data analysis, reporting and business intelligence.
* Deep understanding of master data management data platform, associated processes and capabilities.
* Clear understanding of the Data Management maturity models and different data management practices /disciplines (including data architecture, master data mgmt. DQ, governance).
* Experience in enterprise governance or business data roles, or active stewardship in another business/customer facing function.
* Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Strategic thinker.
