Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeA$110.00/hr - A$145.00/hrWe have a current opportunity for a Land Integration Framework - Digital Subject Matter Expert (LIF-D SME), on a contract basis within the Defence sector. The role is based in Symonston, ACT or Remote with 3 days per Month on site. The contract is for an initial 14 month period, with a 12 month extension option.The LIF-D SME will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:Provide written technical advice to CM and CASG representatives regarding digital integration of programs across the Defence Capability Model;Generate detailed technical implementation design and solution documentation for elements of the LCS, deliver presentations on this documentation to the senior LNIC SMEs, and support workshops to incorporate this work as part of future LCS Design;Develop and present formal technical proposals for Land capability options in support of LNIC integration/technical SME staff;Generate formal LIF-D integration advice to CASG programs on all areas of the Defence Capability Model post reviews of; pre-Gate 0 documentation, capability definition documentation, capability designs, test & evaluation plans, and sustainment activities;Draft LIF-D Integration Certificates and present details to LNIC Executive for endorsement (where program impact is required to achieve digital integration outcomes);As required, provide summary details of integration forums and interaction;Contribute to the development of LIF Body of Knowledge including the LCSD and Mission Thread development;Collaborate with LNIC staff and external stakeholders to contribute to LCSD development and maintenance;Propose innovation activities to assess emerging technologies that may support a 'future ready' LCS;Coordinate and lead stakeholder engagement forums in support of LNIC integration/technical SME staff;Undertake additional LIF-D related tasks as directed by LNIC Executive.Minimum mandatory requirements:AGSVA Security clearance.Defence experience.Demonstrated experience and / or relevant tertiary qualifications Eg: Science, Engineering or IT qualifications.Demonstrated qualifications or specialist experience with one or more of the following skillsets:Networking - Design, Implementation, and assessment of networked systems within either tactical or enterprise environments.C4 Software - Experience with implementation, configuration, assessment, and extensions of military C4 system and software.Tactical Data Links - Detailed knowledge and implementation details of TADL formats and protocols and ability to analyse and assess vendor implementations of these formats.Enterprise Architecture - Design, implementation, and assessment of CIOG accredited systems.Distributed Systems - Experience with distributed system design, implementation, and assessment.Tactical Networking Bearers and Waveforms - Experience with the design, implementation, and analysis of tactical networking bearers, radio RF design, waveform design, and integration.Strategic Networking Bearers and Waveforms - Experience with the design, implementation, and analysis of strategic networking bearers (SATCOM, MUOS, etc), associated modems and equipment, waveform design, and integration.Software Design and Management - Detailed experience with the design, programming knowledge, analysis, and assessment of large software systems.Autonomous Systems - Detailed experience with the design, implementation, and assessment of autonomous military platforms and the software/hardware required for integration into a military force.AS GxA Experience - Detailed knowledge and experience with the AS GxA standards: AS Generic Vehicle Architecture (GVA), AS Land Data Model (LDM), and Vehicle Standard Operating Environment (VSOE).Fires Systems - Detailed knowledge, experience, and implementation detail of AS Fires based systems and software and their networking integration into the larger Land Combat System (LCS).Demonstrable experience in the operations, management, training, analysis, repair, rectification and integration of C4 systems and their sub-systems.Knowledge and understanding of future Land C4 integration and innovation with ADF/OGD/coalition partners (e.g. RAN, RAAF, ABF, AFP, 5EYES).Land programs and / or Defence Capability Model (i.e. CLC) experience.Collaboration and stakeholder experience within and across portfolio/program/project areas of Defence domains (e.g. Workshop management, planning forums etc).An awareness of technical systems design, test/evaluation, verification/validation, configuration and risk mitigation methodologies.Defence Smart Buyer experience.For the full information on this position, please submit your CV before 8am Thu Mon 27 March 2025.HTR are offering very attractive contract day rates.
