Data Analytics and Information Systems (DAIS) is a team of about 80 technical specialists, who discover, design, develop and deliver a complex and integrated suite of products and platforms enabling DEECA to plan, monitor and respond to Bushfires and other Emergencies. Our ideal candidate will have a background in delivering significant emergency management systems technology and it would be advantageous if you have experience working with the emergency management sector. The Program requires a highly skilled and experienced individual to work autonomously, to ensure a solid foundation for the solution, and future state, mitigating risks as they are raised. Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications Essential Demonstrated skills and experience as a business intelligence developer. Highly creative with proven excellence in analytical thinking and the translation of unstructured and structured data into informative data visuals and reports. Demonstrated experience supporting business stakeholders during design, prototyping, development, and implementation phases of business intelligence projects. High level expertise in the design and development of complex, regular reports and visualisations using Microsoft Power BI. Skilled in using Power Automate to streamline workflows, enhance data integration, and automate tasks across various applications. Desirable Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate and SSRS. Proficiency in SQL and DAX. This is a fixed term position available for a period of 2 years. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria (main office is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne) with hybrid work arrangements available.
