12 Month Contract, full time Sydney OR Melbourne based role (2-3 days in office) Broaden your HR Advice exposure! How will I help? This position provides general HR advice and coaching for employees and leaders across the Westpac Group. As a trusted advisor and coach, this role provides ongoing advice, support, guidance and coaching on people matters including policies, people matters, and HR calendar activities.
This position also provides advice and coaching to people leaders (GM1 and below) on more complex people matters and performance management. This role is responsible for building people leader capability through coaching, as well as supporting and guiding leaders and employees on the use of HR tools and services. The role is critical in identifying trends, and escalating more complex matters to specialist HR teams within the HR job family.
Major Responsibilities: Provide policy advice and leadership coaching via phone and online for Westpac Group employees and people leaders across all HR dimensions. A trusted Advisor and Coach to people leaders (GM1 and below) on all people matters both individual and team wide, including informal performance management, small organisational change and HS&W matters. Face to face advice and coaching via video conferencing to provide tailored support for complex matters. Escalates people matters where appropriate to specialist HR teams within the job family, ensuring the employee is treated with care and has a seamless service experience. Support business leaders and employees through HR calendar events e.g. Remuneration Review, Talent Reviews. Liaise with HR Centre of Excellences (COEs) and HR Services as required to advise on solutions and resolve queries directly with leaders and/or employees. Creatively identify and champion continuous improvements through the identification and implementation of process improvements and undertaking defined tasks or projects. What do I need? 2 years + experience HR experience in a generalist support capacity. Business and commercial acumen. Continuous improvement mindset. Proven written and oral skills.
