About the Tasmanian State Service
The Tasmanian State Service (TSS) is the largest employer in Tasmania, with over 28,000 employees providing services to the Tasmanian community at all levels.
The Outpatient Services team ensures efficient, patient-centred care by managing clinics, improving processes, and engaging stakeholders. Led by the Practice Manager, they enhance access through digital health solutions and strategic planning, aligning with the Department of Health’s goals for responsive and sustainable services.
The Role:
Provide high level leadership, advice and support across all Outpatient Services provided by the Hospitals including service planning and delivery, financial and billing management, and monitoring and evaluation of outpatient services.
You will need:
o Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the current issues impacting Outpatient Service provision, particularly the delivery of health services in partnership with the patient, their GP, and the Outpatient Transformation Program.
o High level knowledge of and experience with change management, including the ability to initiate, formulate, and manage complex projects, as well as demonstrated experience in developing and implementing policy, protocols, and service specifications.
o Demonstrated strategic, conceptual, and analytical skills and the ability to understand the political, social, and organisational environment impacting the direction of Outpatient Service Delivery.
Details of appointment:
Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of 6 months. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $128,102 to $134,832 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
o Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
