Job Description The opportunity. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this position directly supports our purpose and ensures our members can count on us by leading the branch team to deliver outstanding service and achieve agreed performance outcomes while meeting compliance obligations. This leadership position is accountable for: Leading a small team to deliver outstanding member service and achieve agreed performance goals. Proactively promoting Defence Bank within Defence, with Defence Industry partners, and within the broader community to grow our member base and product portfolios. Advocating for Defence Bank by building relationships within the Defence Community to build awareness of our service offering. Supervising branch operations to ensure ongoing compliance with legislation and Defence Bank’s policies and processes. This may include reviewing and/or approving lending applications within your delegation. Effectively adapts, manages and communicates across diverse levels and functions to meet the different needs of stakeholders, situations and objectives. Interacting with respect and empathy Plans, aligns, and engages teams to ensure clarity, structure and accountability to meet goals, organisational commitments and to deliver consistent high-quality service and results. The successful candidate will have at least three years’ experience leading a retail sales team, ideally within financial services, as well as a vocational qualification in financial services, sales or team leadership. You’re passionate about delivering outstanding service while keeping your team on track with their goals. A natural coach, you enjoy developing the knowledge and skills of your team and thrive on the challenge of growing a sustainable business. To be considered, you must have demonstrated experience or skills in: Building effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Coaching team members to improve/sustain performance. Developing, implementing, and achieving local sales/business development plans. Facilitating presentations to small and large groups. Motivating a team to achieve agreed goals. Picking up new concepts quickly. Time management with the ability to handle unplanned interruptions. Using Microsoft Office applications to create relevant documents, presentations, and spreadsheets.
