We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Inspection Engineer – Power, to join us in our Engineering and Planning team in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne on a Permanent Full Time Contract.
Reporting to the Facilities Inspection Team Lead, you will play a key role in providing inspection engineering assistance to APA’s operations power assets.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and manage AS3788 compliance, including reviewing inspection reports and initiating corrective actions.
* Leading support in boiler inspection, including load management, preservation, IOW’s & RBI analysis
* Assist in the transformation to proactive maintenance execution
* Lead or assist with inspection and engineering risk assessments and incident investigations.
* Perform Management of Change (MOC) for static pressure equipment on power assets, including modifications to station piping, boilers, pressure equipment, PRDs, obsolescence management, drawing updates, and handling ad hoc requests.
Your background
* Bachelor of Engineering required, with RPEQ (Mechanical) preferred.
* AICIP certification is highly desirable
* Extensive experience in inspection engineering within power generation, including execution and assessment of inspection scopes for pressure vessels, boilers, pressure piping, tanks, and PRDs according to AS3788.
* Proven experience in boiler inspection, including load management (2-shifting) and preservation.
* Demonstrated experience with RBI methodology and understanding of damage mechanisms for HRSGs and pressure equipment.
* Strong knowledge of NDT techniques per AS3998 is preferred.
