About the role Our luxurious 220 roomed stunning beachside location at Stamford Grand Adelaide, offers 29 deluxe suits with unobstructed sweeping Glenelg Ocean views, we seek a professional, efficient and engaging Conference and Events Executive to join our growing team. This exciting and pivotal industry role brings new business opportunities showcasing our luxury hotel’s potential to the local Adelaide and national events market. The successful candidate will enhance operational functionality via collaboration, creating and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders to assist in reaching monthly set sales targets for the hotel. Core requirements of your role Conduct market research to stay ahead of the competition and find new opportunities High level of organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines Assist with the sales and account management from initial client enquiry, negotiating, contract proposals, and upselling Manage guest satisfaction outcomes to facilitate repeat business whilst insuring customer retention Sell the hotel as a total concept ensuring maximum business in all areas - rooms, conferences, food and beverage Actively seek networking and business opportunities Communicate effectively across multiple departments Manage all communications between clients and vendors, respond to queries About you You will be responsible for effectively handling incoming event enquiries and quotes, planning and executive all sized events, and liaising with clients before, during and after their event to ensure a memorable experience is provided. Successful candidates will: Hold a tertiary qualification in Event Management or equivalent (desirable) Have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a hotel environment Be an energetic multi-tasker with meticulous attention to detail and a creative approach to planning events that are seamlessly delivered Be an exceptional communicator with a natural ability to develop strong rapport with clients, guests and internally with the Sales and Banquets teams.
