Join a large, established residential aged care home offering an attractive base salary of $130k–$140k. This senior-level role is ideal for a leader with a strong clinical and operational background, ready to guide teams of nurses, personal carers, and support staff while ensuring safety and compliance are top priorities. You’ll bring a high level of business acumen to help meet operational goals and deliver best-practice clinical services for residents. Reporting to the General Manager of Clinical Services, you will oversee your dedicated unit, supporting both strategic and daily operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and supervise teams, including nurses, personal carers, and support staff
* Manage rosters to ensure optimal staffing levels on all shifts while minimizing agency reliance
* Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives within the facility
* Ensure accurate and timely completion of all clinical documentation, including care plans, assessments, and incident reporting
* Collaborate with HR to create development opportunities for staff
* Analyse and respond to incident data trends, enforcing corrective actions as needed
* Supervise AN-ACC compliance to meet income targets
* Oversee risk management activities with a focus on quality and compliance
* Support accreditation and audit processes, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements
* Step into the General Manager Clinical role during absences as needed

About You
We’re looking for a Clinical Manager with proven leadership, clinical, and operational expertise. Requirements include:
* Demonstrated experience in healthcare operations, preferably in an aged care setting
* Senior clinical experience with relevant qualifications
* Strong written and verbal communication skills across diverse audiences
* Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and negotiating within a multidisciplinary team
* Problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills
* Commitment to high-level customer service and confidentiality
* Strong understanding of aged care standards and legislative requirements, with the ability to exceed accreditation standards
* Experience in building high-performing teams and promoting a strong workplace culture
* Ability to interpret and apply governance requirements
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Public Health, Primary Health Care, or similar
* Significant experience in a senior leadership role within aged care
* Postgraduate qualification in a business-related field (preferred)
* Professional membership affiliation
* Knowledge of restrictive practices and AN-ACC assessments
* Current driver’s license
* Minimum of five years in a senior leadership role
