Alfred Health's Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Rehabilitation Centre provides rehabilitation services for people with moderate to severe acquired brain injuries including traumatic brain injuries, stroke, hypoxic brain injuries and other causes of non-progressive brain injury. The service is comprised of a 42-bed inpatient rehabilitation service, a community rehabilitation service and a 4-bed transitional living service. The role is within the ABI Rehabilitation service at Caulfield Hospital, and there is an opportunity to rotate across the Inpatient ABI Rehabilitation Unit, the ABI Community Rehabilitation Service, and Transitional Living Service. Your work will be primarily in the areas of occupation focused cognitive, motor, sensory, psycho-social and discharge interventions. In this role, you will contribute to an interdisciplinary team approach to achieve optimal patient care. Along with the clinical responsibilities in this role, you will provide supervision to OT staff and students, and opportunity to contribute to quality improvement and research activities within the ABI Rehabilitation Service. As an Alfred Health grade 2 OT you will have access to regular clinical supervision, opportunities for continued professional development and being part of a friendly and supportive team.
