The Role –
Toll Group are looking for an experienced Import / Export Warehouse Manager to join our Toll Global Forwarding division based in Mascot. You will play an essential role in creating and driving a high-performing, positive, and safety-obsessed team culture.
As the Import / Export Warehouse Manager, you will direct, co-ordinate, supervise and achieve service objectives regarding the secure and safe transition of our cargo, within the air and ocean freight chain of receipt and redelivery. The role will also manage the VAS operation. Effectively managing all 3PL relationships, performance, Service Level Agreements, KPI's and costs and work on their permanent improvements.
The Import / Export Warehouse Manager will ensure that tasks are completed in the most efficient manner with agreed standards in operational procedures including strong emphasis on safety requirements. Be responsible to supervise and provide direction and guidance to other employees, including the ability to assist in the provision of on-the-job training and inductions.
Duties and Responsibilities / a day in the life of the Import / Export Warehouse Manager –
* Thorough management of Import / Export Air freight, RACA (regulated air cargo agent) – DAWR – quarantine regulations – managing all aspects CW1 (CargoWise)
* Identify and recommend innovations to improve work practices, processes, equipment or systems which would enhance service offerings to customers resulting in growth.
* Ensure the highest standards of safety, efficiency and service are achieved, including processing of all orders, on-time and accurately.
* Contribute to building a strong team ethos that facilitates continuous improvement and the creation of a high-performance culture.
* Putting the Customer First - assess customer needs effectively and weigh alternative approaches or solutions ensuring the customer is put first and achieve longer term commitment to Toll beyond the customer’s immediate needs.
* Ensure the health and safety of employees, contractors, customers and visitors through eliminating or minimising the risks associated with their business facilities, fleet, plant equipment and services.
* Be accountable for the designated operational area of responsibility, with a sound working knowledge of all warehousing duties performed.
What you’ll need to succeed –
* Able to demonstrate extensive import / export management experience in transport, logistics or related industry with a thorough understanding of Import / Export air freight Management Experience.
* Proficient computer skills with good written and verbal communication skills.
* Knowledge in CW1, RACA, DAWR and quarantine regulations.
* Strong Safety Leadership and establishing processes.
* Team Leadership – ability to upskill and mentor staff.
