About the Role
CareSouth’s service delivery is expanding with a newprogram that ensures children and young people with disabilitiesare supported in a therapeutic environment to help them thrive.Working with the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), theIntensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) model supports children and youngpeople who are unable to be supported in foster care or requirespecialised and intensive supports to maintain stability in theircare arrangements.
As a Support Worker in an ITC model you will:
1. Support children/young people to achieve personal goals
2. Assist children/young people to build their personal resilience and navigate complex emotions and triggers
3. Support connection to family & culture
4. Encourage and aid participation in education & extracurricular activities to promote competence and stability in day-to-day life
5. Transport and daily care as required
6. Work alongside our clinical and casework team with children and young people at the forefront of all practice.
