Mentor Parent Pathways
This is a permanent, full-time role working with disadvantaged parents to assist them in preparing for their return to the workforce. The Mentor will work with parents to assist them in setting education and employment goals, developing a pathway plan and linking them to services and activities in the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Empower customers by helping them identify individual education and employment goals
* Provide career advice and labour market information on local employment and education opportunities
* Collaboratively identify strategies to meet individual needs using a holistic approach
* Engage with the local community to build relationships and coordinate referrals to community agencies
* Assist customers apply for jobs, develop and tailor CVs, prepare for interviews, understand employer expectations and build employability skills
About You:
* Ability to build relationships within the community
* High level of interpersonal communication, strong organisational skills and commitment to customer service
* Empathetic approach, able to build trust and rapport
* Effective problem solver
* Working with Vulnerable People or Children Check (or equivalent)
* Current drivers licence
