About the Role
You will work as a Cultural Heritage Specialist, providing expert advice and support across the lifecycle of infrastructure projects, managing both Indigenous and non-Indigenous heritage matters.
This role involves planning, investigation, and management of heritage requirements, ensuring seamless integration with project schedules and outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinating Cultural Heritage Management Plans and Agreements;
* Providing specialist advice on heritage compliance and approvals;
* Engaging with diverse stakeholders to facilitate project success;
* Managing contractors and consultants delivering heritage services;
* Supporting project teams with technical advice during incident management.
About You
You are an experienced professional with a deep understanding of cultural heritage management and legislation.
Your ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including Traditional Owner groups, sets you apart.
Essential qualifications and skills:
* Bachelor's degree in archaeology, heritage management, anthropology, law, or a related field;
* At least five years of experience in cultural heritage management;
* Proven ability to manage complex heritage matters and provide technical advice;
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Estimated salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
