We are seeking a Procurement and Supply Chain Manager to join the team.
The Role The Procurement and Supply Chain Manager will work with stakeholders to ensure efficient operation of the manufacturing environment.
You will have overall responsibility for the procurement team, supply chain, and warehouse.
Working closely with the managers, you will be part of the Leadership team who will communicate constantly to ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing environment.
You will ensure that all inventory and safety stocks are maintained and that the correct amount is purchased at the agreed cost and lead time.
Ensure that production never stops because of purchased parts or consumables.
This is a hands-on operational role with a focus on implementing and driving Lean Manufacturing principles.
The role will require commitment and a pro-active, flexible approach.
Supervises: Team Leader, Warehouse, and Procurement teams
Key Role Function: You will be responsible for managing the procurement and warehouse teams and line manage all employees assigned within the teams.Create and review opportunities to implement best practice purchasing policies and processes to meet business objectives and operational needs and ensure these are followed by all and maintained to support ISO certification.Ensure the most efficient use of Fishbowl to ensure inventory control and transactional accuracy.Full responsibility for cycle counting and stocktakes.Ensure that the procurement BOM is always accurate, updated, and BOM costs are controlled and challenged.Support material flow to production by understanding and reacting to the wider needs of the business versus those of the manufacturing area.Responsible for sourcing, evaluation, and maintaining our predominantly Australian supply chain to ensure conformity of supply to Automotive supply chain standards.Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities.Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
Ensure defective parts are isolated and can never be picked or taken to production.Monitor and measure results of initiatives, fine-tuning or taking corrective action as necessary.Ensure that safety and quality are key elements of the manufacturing culture.Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained and improved.Ensure the visual boards are up to date and correct attendance at morning meetings.Build and develop relationships at all levels across the manufacturing environment to spark ideas for continuous improvement.Work with management to implement the company's policies, procedures, and goals.Ensure that health and safety guidelines and policies are followed by all.Conduct regular performance reviews for everyone in the procurement and warehouse teams.Identify training needs for the team through the skills matrix and training plan to track the delivery of training.You will be expected to collaborate in other tasks and activities that will be out of your main responsibilities.
