About the role:
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the focus of your role will be to consult and offer expert product knowledge and advice to our Broadacre and Pasture production client base in the Inverell district.
A typical day in this role may look like:
You will provide agronomic and technical support to farmers and producers in the region together with product sales both in store and on farm. In addition, you will:
4. Build solid and long-term client relationships and develop a strong understanding of the clients’ business goals and share technical and market information to enable clients to improve the performance and sustainability of their farming enterprises
5. Maintain relationships with existing customers whilst targeting new clients through the provision of superior sales and agronomic input
6. Keep up to date with latest plant production practices
7. Run and coordinate field days and farmer meetings.
About You:
8. To be successful you will have established yourself as a trusted advisor in an agronomy role and demonstrate an understanding of the products, seasonal timings, and general requirements of rural producers.
9. Your sound customer service, organisational, administrative, and computing skills will be complemented by excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. You will demonstrate an understanding of the sales process and strong sales activity and call cycle management.
11. Knowledge of broadacre farming systems, both dryland and irrigated, along with pasture production agronomy is an advantage.
12. A tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field and a current driver’s license is essential.
13. Your experience in an agronomic advisory role related to agricultural chemicals and fertiliser will secure this rewarding role.
