2-year fixed term, full-time opportunity with a monthly RDOBand 4 Salary range from $68,083 to $72,511 plus statutory superannuationExciting opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative procurement teamThe role A new two-year band 4 procurement support officer role is dedicated to the provision of administrative and system support to the Strategic Procurement Unit and broader organisation, in support of the Ballarat community.
About you You will be an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a passion for processes, systems and stakeholder engagement, both internally and externally. You will have strong attention to detail, be able to interpret information and requirements in accordance with a range of policies and the Local Government Act. Data management and analysis via systems also forms a component of this role. Most importantly, you will have a strong sense of commitment to advancing the strategic procurement objectives as required by the City of Ballarat.
Position Objectives The Procurement Support Officer position will assist to ensure best practice in Procurement and Tendering activities for the City of Ballarat.Support Council's Strategic Procurement Unit in providing advice, systems support and training in accordance with the Procurement Policy.To provide helpful, timely and accurate information to internal and external customers, with a focus on system advice and policy interpretation.Qualifications and Experience Certificate on Business Administration or relevant experience in similar administrative roles in an office environment (Local Government)High level of skills relating to IT systems and Office 365 suite.Relevant experience in either procurement, local government or a financial environment (desirable).Well-developed organisational skills.Key selection criteria Qualifications and experience as listed above.Ability to demonstrate a sound knowledge of relevant information technology systems in relation to procurement as well as Office 365 suite.Ability to work unsupervised.Ability to work as part of a customer service focused team.Demonstrated experience in the improvement of administration functions within a team.To apply To apply for this position please click on the Apply button and submit your application.
