Your Role: Champion of Change
As a DVAC Specialist, you’ll be more than a counselor – you’ll be a guide, an advocate, and a voice for those navigating trauma and recovery. From crisis intervention to strategic safety planning, you’ll empower clients to regain control, foster resilience, and build safer futures.
Key Impact Areas
* Client-Centered Advocacy: Provide empathetic, trauma-informed support tailored to each client’s journey.
* Risk Management & Safety Planning: Conduct risk assessments and create individualized safety plans for those in crisis.
* Hands-On Crisis Support: Offer immediate assistance both in-person and over the phone, helping clients navigate critical service systems.
* Case Management: Provide individualised, trauma-informed case management, supporting clients with safety planning, goal setting, and access to necessary resources and services.
* Innovative Portfolio Development: Spearhead focused initiatives such as LGBTQIA+ outreach, rural community support, or culturally appropriate services.
* Community Engagement: Build and nurture connections within the community and advocate for services that strengthen the path to healing.

What You Bring
* Expertise in Crisis Intervention: A solid background in trauma-informed practice, risk assessment, and DFV support.
* Leadership Skills: Proficiency in advocacy, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management, with a collaborative, solution-oriented approach.
* Commitment to Ethics and Safety: A dedication to uphold child-safe practices and organizational standards with integrity.
* Qualifications: Relevant tertiary degree and a minimum of 2 years in a similar role. A current driver’s license, Blue Card, and National Police Check are required.
