About the role
The Library Content and Collections Coordinator is responsible for designing, procuring, and managing sustainable content and collections across all Ipswich Libraries locations and platforms, including the Karalee Pod, Home Library Service, interlibrary loans, and Picture Ipswich digital heritage archive.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Collaborate with the Library Leadership Team to identify community needs and develop innovative curation strategies, maximizing library content and collection utilization, and reporting on performance
* Strategically manage library content through analysis, planning, evaluation, and reporting
* Project manage key actions to achieve sustainable outcomes on-time and on-budget
* Provide financial management, including contract management, budget preparation, and monitoring
* Develop and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and Council’s Procurement teams to ensure delivery, quality assurance, service levels, and governance
* Work with Branch Services, Digital Experience, and Customer Experience coordinators to deliver seamless access to collections and digital content

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Tertiary qualification in a related field and/or demonstrated technical experience in library content and collection management
* Current Queensland C Class Driver’s Licence
* Excellent interpersonal skills including advanced written and oral communication skills
* Project and financial management skills
* Experience using one or more types of Library Management Software
* Sound level of proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
