Grange Resources Tasmania is on the lookout for a Boilermaker welder to join our operation in Savage River.
Based out of our Mobile Equipment Boilermaker workshop, this position will undertake minor and major repairs to the Mobile Mining Fleet, including Caterpillar Haul Trucks, Graders, D10T Dozers, Hitachi Excavators/Shovels, Sandvik and Atlas Copco drill rigs. Repairs include truck trays, buckets and clams, general fabrication, and breakdown activities.
Day to day
In this role you will be responsible for:
* Undertaking minor and major repairs on the Mining equipment at Savage River Operation
* Communicating with other technical and operational staff on site
* Assisting in continuous improvement and process development projects within the Mobile Maintenance team
Who you are
To be successful in this role you have:
* Pass year 10 and Boilermaker Trade Certificate
* Sound knowledge and understanding of boiler making concepts and principles
* Background in Mining or Mineral processing environment
* Previous relevant work experience could be advantageous

Grange holds long-term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contracting process.
The Savage River magnetite iron ore mine is a long-life mining asset where ore is mined and processed before it is transported by pipeline to Grange's pellet plant and ship loading facility at Port Latta.
The Savage River worksite is only an hour and a half drive away from the vibrant coastal towns of north-west Tasmania, which offers a fantastic regional lifestyle.
