Overview
An excellent leadership opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse/Midwife to join our team in providing specialised perioperative nursing leadership and support in the provision of elective and emergency surgical services to a vibrant rural community at the Clare and Jamestown Hospitals.
Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager (RNM3) Perioperative services and CSSD - Clare and Jamestown hospitals, is a new Clinical Leadership position for Yorke and Northern Local Health Network.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide specialised perioperative nursing leadership and support the provision of elective and emergency surgical services to 2 vibrant rural communities.
The position will be based at Clare hospital (0.84FTE - 4 days/ week) and provide support and clinical leadership to the Jamestown hospital (0.16 FTE) - 1 day/ week.
3. Clare Hospital provides Level 3 Surgical, Anaesthetic and sterilising (CSSD) services. Providing 13 operating sessions a month in the specialties of orthopaedics, urology, ENT, gastroenterology, opthalmology, general surgery, plastic surgery and gynaecology. Care is provided to both adult and paediatric patients. Pre anaesthetic / admission clinics held twice weekly.
4. Jamestown Hospital provides general surgery, colorectal surgery, obstetrics/ gynaecology, plastic surgery and dentistry. Theatre sessions are scheduled weekly - fortnightly Both hospitals also provide Level 3 maternal and neonatal services requiring a 24/7 emergency theatre on call service.
The position offers an opportunity to support surgical services within the region, promote and support the development of specialised workforce.
