Townsville Hospital and Health Service is the public healthcare provider for the government areas of Townsville, Burdekin, Charters Towers, Flinders, Richmond, Hinchinbrook, and Palm Island.
We operate 21 facilities from primary care in regional locations to highly specialised care at the main hospital.
Townsville University Hospital, the largest tertiary hospital in northern Australia, provides specialist referral services for 700,000 people living in the region.

Salary range: $66.85 to $72.58 p.h.

Requirements:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable.
Such experience may be discipline-specific or have a service area focus.
Highly Desirable: Credentialed status (or willingness to undertake and complete the requirements) with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
Highly Desirable: Possession of or working towards a relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualifications in mental health nursing would be well regarded.
Highly Desirable: While not mandatory, eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act 2016 would be well regarded.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
Probation period may apply.
