About the role: Are you a passionate marketer with expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, looking to shape the future of customer engagement? As part of our Marketing, Customer Engagement & Brand department, we’re seeking a Marketing Automation & Email Specialist to help build and evolve our marketing automation strategy across BCU Bank and P&N Bank. In this hands-on role, you will be deeply involved in the day-to-day execution of our marketing automation and email marketing efforts, while also contributing to the strategic direction of our customer engagement initiatives. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, creative skills, and marketing knowledge to not only implement and optimise campaigns but also shape and refine the broader strategy for customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. You will be working within a collaborative and inclusive team environment, responsible for building the foundations of our marketing automation capability, including reporting and optimisation frameworks, while also thinking strategically about how to elevate our customer experiences across channels. The work you do in this role will play an integral part in refining and optimising the customer experience for our members, helping us to continually evolve and meet their needs. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of marketing automation strategies aimed at customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. Develop and manage omnichannel campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools such as Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Mobile Studio. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design seamless customer experiences, integrating marketing automation with other systems. Leverage data-driven insights and segmentation to optimise campaign performance. Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Salesforce Marketing Cloud and email marketing strategies within the team. Build and manage campaigns across email, SMS, and other digital channels to drive customer engagement. Create and customise email templates using AMPScript, HTML, and CSS, ensuring that content is engaging and optimised for performance. Design automated customer journeys to enhance lifecycle marketing and improve customer retention. Use A/B testing, dynamic content, and analytics to continually optimise campaigns for performance. Establish and develop reporting frameworks, build custom reports, and track KPIs like open rates, conversions, and ROI to refine and improve strategies. Educate and train cross-functional teams on how to leverage Salesforce Marketing Cloud for customer marketing and communications. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements in the marketing automation space. Manage projects from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams. What Will You Bring? 5+ years of experience in marketing automation and email marketing. Proven expertise with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including tools like Email Studio, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio. Strong skills in audience segmentation, data analytics, and campaign optimisation. Solid technical experience with AMPScript, HTML/CSS, and SQL; API integration experience is a plus. A passion for creating personalised, data-driven customer experiences. Hands-on experience working within a marketing team to deliver customer marketing strategies leveraging marketing automation. Project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with stakeholder management and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams. Ability to work collaboratively with a geographically dispersed team, playing a key role in evolving the marketing automation and email strategy across the business.
