Your role will encompass everything from initial design concepts to project management, installation, commissioning, and ongoing support.
You will work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure successful project outcomes while ensuring all work complies with Australian Standards and our company's procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesYou'll have the opportunity to apply your expertise in a variety of areas:Design & Engineering: Develop electrical engineering designs that comply with industry standards.
You'll produce switchboard and motor control designs, electrical schematics, and system layouts.Project Management: Take ownership of project lifecycles from start to finish, managing timelines, budgets, and quality assurance processes.Installation & Commissioning: Lead commissioning activities, conduct thorough testing, and ensure all systems are fully operational and meet design specifications.Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support and problem-solving throughout the project and beyond, ensuring client satisfaction and system reliability.Collaboration: Work closely with clients, internal teams, and external suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.Auditing & Compliance: Conduct compliance audits, risk assessments, and safety checks to ensure the highest standards are maintained.Innovation: Stay on top of emerging technologies and proactively identify new solutions to improve operational performance and solve client challenges.Documentation: Manage technical documentation, including maintenance schedules, manuals, and reports for the systems you design.What We're Looking ForTo thrive in this role, you'll bring:Experience: At least 5 years in electrical design, preferably within industries like Mining, Utilities, or Industrial.Expertise: Strong background in designing low and medium voltage electrical systems.
Experience with PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems is essential.Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with budgets and specifications.Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, electrical schematics, panel layouts, and electrical system design.
Knowledge of load flow studies (e.g., E-Tap) and SIL (Safety Integrity Level) design is highly desirable.Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Electrical Engineering.Standards Knowledge: Expertise in Australian electrical standards, compliance auditing, and risk assessments.Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
