Our client is a leading 300-bed hospital with the Peri-Operative Department in Canberra consisting of a Day Surgery Unit, Surgical Admission Lounge, a Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU), 7 Operating Theatres, and a procedure room, covering a wide range of surgical specialities including:

* Obstetrics
* Gynaecological
* Ear Nose and Throat (ENT)
* Head and Neck

* General Surgery

About the Role
Seeking Registered Nurses for full-time and Part time permanent roles in our client’s fast paced Perioperative Department where your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting comprehensive patient assessments
* Collaborating with surgical teams to ensure that all instruments, accountable items, and other items used during surgery/procedures are retrieved, accounted for, and appropriately documented.
* Manage instruments and associated sterile items, accountable items, assist the surgeons with access to instruments and supplies required to undertake the surgical procedure.
* Recognise intraoperative complications or changes in patient’s condition and responding appropriately.
About You
* Hold an AHPRA registration with no restrictions
* An experienced Scrub Scout with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
* Flexibility to work on rotational rosters
* Proficient in digital health systems
* Dedicated to ongoing professional development and training
* Able to pass a pre-employment National Police Check
