Why work with us?
At Council, we’re proud of our region. If you love it here as much as we do, and you want to shape our region for the future – you’ll want to join our team!
The Project Delivery branch complies with the ten-year capital works program, coordinating and delivering all capital projects (other than minor works projects) to provide cradle-to-grave project management, focusing on total program delivery within budget and time constraints. The branch plays a lead role in community and councillor coordination, ensuring value for money outcomes in all facets of project delivery.
As a Civil Program Delivery Manager, you will apply your knowledge in project design and delivery for civil infrastructure projects and programs across the Sunshine Coast region. This includes coordinating, planning, developing, designing, and delivering major and minor infrastructure projects from the Capital Works Program and asset renewal activities using best practice planning, design, and project management techniques.
You will coordinate project design and delivery to align with approved programs on behalf of the Branches, Groups, organization, and region, and be responsible for the planning, development, design, and delivery of major and minor infrastructure projects from the Capital Works Programs, including the successful interpretation and advocacy of corporate drivers and strategic plans.
You will partner with Council and Government agency strategic planners and service providers to maintain a high level of awareness of infrastructure design planning directions and issues at all levels, helping to properly define and realize the range of infrastructure place-making outcomes desired for the region.
About you
As a requirement of this role, you will possess tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a closely related field. You will also possess a current C class driver’s license, and a Queensland White Card/Construction Industry Card.
You will have demonstrated extensive experience in infrastructure planning and design, plus project planning and delivery on a medium to large scale. Outstanding communication, consultation, negotiation, networking, and advocacy skills are essential to support strong relationships and agreements with staff, the community, consultants, and contractors.
You will have excellent resource needs analysis and application solution skills for major and minor projects, along with proven abilities in project management, financial management, and human resources management.
