About the position: The City is looking for a motivated professional to join our team as a Governance and Risk Coordinator. In this role, you will lead our Governance and Risk team, ensuring the effective coordination of corporate governance, risk management, and legal services within the Corporate Compliance branch.This position is offered as a full-time permanent position to the successful candidate.Key accountabilities: Coordinate and report on the City's governance systems which include, the compliance management plan, compliance calendar, risk management framework and insurance portfolio. Monitor legislation updates and inform Executive Management Team and operational branches of legislation which may impact City operations. Specific accountability of this role relates to Local Governance Act and regulations. Coordinate the City's risk management framework, inclusive of reporting to the Executive Management Team and the Audit Committee relating to the City's risk management systems. Fulfil the role as the City's Freedom of information Coordinator and a Public Interest Disclosure Officer, conducting FOI application reviews and responses or PID investigations as required. Complete corporate compliance related Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing reviews and reporting as required.
