About the Role
As a Journey Expert in our Home Loans Portfolio, you’ll play a key role in helping to design, produce and manage a straightforward range of home loans products where are customers and bankers are supported by simple and automated processes within easy-to-use systems.. This role is responsible for liaising with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems.
As a Journey Expert (Business Analyst) with demonstrated VBA experience, your main priority is to ensure that the Home Loans Serviceability calculator is maintained with up-to-date policies and processes for our Brokers & Mobile Lenders. In addition to this, you will also support the Home Loans team to deliver on prioritised projects using your demonstrated business analysis & project delivery skills. This may include taking ownership of specific governance functions, working on an initiative or collaborating with a team of professionals who share similar skills to manage and coordinate essential activities that help us strike a healthy balance between delivering high quality customer outcomes with operating as a well-managed business.

You may be asked to contribute your skills to other teams that support different aspects of the Home Loans business, providing you with a chance to develop a broader understanding of the industry and develop new skills. What will your day look like?
As a Journey Expert, you will:
1. Building & maintaining excel serviceability calculator to be used by all Brokers/Mobile lenders to support home loans policy
2. Lead streams of work within the squad and support the Product Owner in managing deliverables
3. Identify the scope and capacity to deliver each deliverable before providing inputs into the overall delivery roadmap and plan
4. Gather and translate business needs into consumable requirements. This includes leading elicitation workshops, analysis, specification and validation of requirements, as well as by understanding feasibility and potential impact
5. Identify and analyse impacted business processes, including understanding of as-is and to-be process
6. Undertake analysis in collaboration with stakeholders to fully comprehend problem statement/s, to deliver and playback future state options where MVP / iterations have been defined
7. Engage with stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle, sharing updates, seeking feedback and responding to feedback
8. Ensure potential and active risks and issues are captured, assessed, managed and mitigated in a timely manner
9. Work with squads and stakeholders to translate high level goals into detailed plans, business impacts, communications, Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and change interventions, then preparation and execution of those plans
10. Plan, facilitate and manage testing activity for your deliverables, such UAT, BVT, DRH
11. Create and maintain supporting materials; including but not exclusive to the collateral required throughout delivery e.g. Knowledge Management Guides, Process Maps, Business Impact Assessment (BIA), Operational Risk Assessment (ORA), Product Variation Document

What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
12. Must be proficient with excel VBA
13. Exposure to Home Lending processes and credit policies preferred
14. Experience across various delivery functions, such as business analysis, risk management and implementing change
15. Excellent interpersonal, active listening and influencing skills – you need to be comfortable asking questions, raising concerns, and constantly thinking about our customers
16. Strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills
17. Excellent problem-solving skills, you can find clear paths through ambiguity and making decisions within broad direction and boundaries
18. An eye for detail - as a member of a team responsible for analysis and writing requirements, your willingness to iteratively improve precision and clarity is paramount
19. A passion for user experience in shaping solution design outcome
20. Strong knowledge in agile delivery, data modelling, process mapping and / or complex integration requirements
21. Expert in translating requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria
22. Ability to learn on the job, navigate through ambiguity and a demonstrated growth mindset
