Remuneration:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to AU$549,113 p.a., comprising salary between $210,332 - $266,677 p.a., (L18-L27), clinical managers allowance ($21,028 p.a.), motor vehicle allowance ($25,500 p.a.), professional development allowance ($21,500 p.a.), professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements. Private practice arrangements include opportunities at the local private hospitals and other government programs. Overtime and on-call allowances will be negotiated with the successful applicant upon appointment. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value. (Applications will remain current for 12 months). 1. The Clinical Director of Orthopaedic Surgery will provide expert clinical leadership and oversight to ensure the delivery of high performing orthopaedic surgery and trauma services, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. They will ensure the provision of high value, safe, and quality clinical care to patients.
2. The Clinical Director of Orthopaedic Surgery will collaborate with the Executive Director Fraser Coast to strategically plan and deliver an effective and efficient orthopaedic service for the Fraser Coast (Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals). The Clinical Director of Orthopaedic Surgery role encompasses all the roles described in the CanMEDs framework. This includes research activities as well as teaching the health professionals of the future.
3. The Clinical Director of Orthopaedic Surgery will provide both clinical and strategic leadership, as well as direct clinical care dependent on prioritising service needs. In addition to the key responsibilities listed below, the role of the Clinical Director of Orthopaedic Surgery is to provide such services as may be reasonably directed from time to time by the Director of Medical Services or Executive Director of Fraser Coast as outlined on the Organisational Chart.
