Add expected salary to your profile for insights About our clientThe National Fire Industry Association (NFIA) is the peak Fire Protection Industry Association for Australia.NFIA are the voice of the industry and represent a wide and varied Membership from the smallest sub-contractor through to large international construction and service businesses.About the roleAs the Policy and Government Relations Manager, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining relationships with state and federal government, focusing on key political issues affecting NFIA's members.This is a newly created role where you will have the opportunity to work closely with a passionate and driven CEO.Duties include but are not limited to: Manage relationships with State and Federal Governments, Ministers, MPs and Agencies.Develop high-quality submissions and strategic responses to industry issues.Act as a spokesperson for the association and industry at meetings and roundtable discussions.Develop member communications on government changes.Manage and attend NFIAs Policy and Advocacy Committee meetings.Engage and manage relationships with NFIA Members across Queensland.To be successful you will have: Proven experience in policy and advocacy.Understanding of government structure and processes.Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to tailor your communication techniques to suit a variety of audiences.Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, government, industry, and other stakeholders.This is an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the fire protection industry.If you're a driven professional ready to elevate your career and influence policy, we want to hear from you!
